Car Rental Company Goes Green

A Hawaiian based car rental company has set up shop in Los Angeles. Moreover, this car rental agency is one that uses biodiesel made from vegetable grains and restaurant grease instead of normal fuel. It is seen as a positive move that will help the already depleting environment. The founder of this car rental company, Shaun Stenshol- a former Greenpeace activist- says his company slogan is "Give the planet a vacation it deserves the next time you take one."
The biodiesel apparently is pleasant smelling. But this fuel comes at a price-its cost is about $1 more than regular fuel. There is just one place where users can get the biodiesel filled but the founder of this car rental agency says that more refueling stations will be set up.
There are cars out of which Volkswagen Jetta and Passat are used by renters and are prone to being filled with diesel instead of biodiesel; and this car rental company maintains that they do not approve of such acts as it is against their "morality as an eco friendly company".
